Who's Responsible        What Buildings Must Comply?        Contact Us        Request a Quote

Do you need to benchmark your building or buildings?  NYC Local Law 84 requires compliance if:
     - Building(s) over 50,000 square feet
    - Two or more buildings totaling 100,000 square feet or more on the same lot
    - Buildings totaling 100,000 square feet under the same condo board

As part of PlaNYC’s Greener, Greater Buildings Plan all buildings in New York City over 50,000 square feet are required to submit an annual energy benchmark. The deadline is May 1, 2011. Multiple buildings on the same lot totaling 100,000 square feet or more are required to comply with the new law.  This includes large buildings under the same condo board.

The first benchmark report is due to the city on May 1, 2011.
