Green healthcare is a passion of Chambers Design.  Every hospital and healthcare facility in the world should take on the challenge of being sustainable.  Chambers Design has worked with leading healthcare providers around the United States developing cost effective solutions for going green.  Chambers Design has extensive expertise with LEED for Healthcare as well as energy systems within hospitals and how the sector can become a beckon of hope. 

UPMC-East Hospital Complex is an ambitious project that desires to exemplify the core values of sustainable architecture that promotes contemporary thinking within green design and healthcare facilities that is relevant to its region, culture and climate. 

Crossroads Fitness Center, in the historic town of Conway, South Carolina, was envisioned as new approach to fitness - the goal was to create a community center as well as shift the paradigm to more sustainable options for health and wellness. The team analyzed existing fitness centers to determine the best layouts for the highest effectiveness for the building.  The sustainability plan included solar heated pools, photovoltaic panels, daylight and other green features.
